A. Gaudi, basilica La Sagrada Familia, 1891-1921 The forms of fractals also appear in the architecture of the 20th century. The world-wide famous basilica originally has been planned as neo-Gothic building, however A. Gaudi extremely recasted its towers. Today the forms of fractals can be seen in the design of the towers. During the lifetime of A. Gaudi only one tower of two was finished (1921). In 1959 the construction of the second tower was continued following conception of A. Gaudi. |
